Bar review: Casa Di Napa Cafeteria, Ayia Napa

By Nathan Morley Published on July 25, 2010

This open-air bar in a tropical garden hidden just off Nissi Avenue is one of the resort’s best kept secrets.

It's the type of exotic quiet bar that you hope exists but can rarely find – until now.

The garden is designed around a central pond, with its own bridge, and secluded tables are spread around giving the customer complete privacy.

The fish ponds, waterfalls ,dimmed lights and soft music all help to create a very agreeable atmosphere.

In a garden setting of banana, plantain and palm trees, the owners present an innovative food and drinks menu.

As well as a huge selection of cocktails, you’ll find fine wines, spirits and even a selection of smoothies, milkshakes and hot drinks on the menu.

Food here is delicious, with everything from full steak meals to club sandwiches.

The Casa Di Napa works as a place to be at midnight on a Friday, or for Monday afternoons with a book in hand – the shade of the heavy garden is definitely an attraction during the summer months.

It is clear that much time and effort has been devoted to getting this establishment right – there are no TVs, no dance compilations CDs blasting out and certainly no gimmicks.

It is a place to take friends for a quite relaxing evening – you’ll not be disturbed by rowdy crowds here (primarily because they can’t find it).

The staff go out of their way to make you welcome and are attentive and friendly - for a lovely peaceful evening, give it a try.

A well-known place to the residents of Agia Napa. Pity though that the garden centre across the road has closed down!
